Christmas can be an expensive time and for many students this will bring additional worries. However, spending a little bit of time over the holidays applying for scholarships could bring in some additional cash to help you through the rest of the year.
Here are some scholarships which are still open for applications and are open to students at any UK university studying any subject. Worth up to $10,000, you may find that you don’t need to worry quite so much about the money you have spent on presents after all.

An award of £1,000 open to all students currently enrolled at a UK college or university who have an idea for a new business.
1st Formations Scholarship
Worth £600, the 1st Formations Business Scholarship is open to anyone currently studying for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a recognised UK academic institution and display a desire to run your own business.
Black Heart Foundation Scholarships
Scholarships are offered to students at any level of education, from primary school through to postgraduate study. They are intended to support students in the advancement of their education where they might otherwise not have been able to do so. Amount awarded varies
BeArt Presets Scholarship
Open to Yr13s who have accepted a place at university, current undergraduates and postgraduates. Applicants have to answer the question “How The BeArt Presets Academic Scholarship will help you achieve your education and career goals?”. Students worldwide are eligible to apply but you must be registered with an accredited university in your country. Worth $2,500
Go Transcript Scholarship
Open to students either in the last year of school or the first of university. Applicants have to submit a short personal statement plus an essay on the following subject “Share a story about how language has helped you express your voice.” Worth $1,000
Voice Talent Online Scholarship
Open to students worldwide studying at University. There are 3 different scholarship competitions each worth $1,000 and you can enter all three.
Pitch your idea Scholarship
Open to students from around the world in secondary school through to postgraduate level studies. Applicants have to submit a pitch for their big idea. Worth up to $10,000
Henry Fellowship to Harvard or Yale
The Henry Fund provides a fully funded year at Harvard or Yale as a Special/ Visiting Student. Open to students of all nationalities. Candidates must be full-time students at a British or Irish University and have completed at least two years of full-time undergraduate study by 1 January 2022 or students in the first year of postgraduate study where not more than year has passed from the time of taking their first degree.
